How to Make Effective Affirmations for the Law of Attraction to Work

Did you see the film The Secret and tried the Law of Attraction but to no effect? Here is one reason why the law might not have worked for you. The film was a great advertisement for the Law of Attraction but perhaps it did not go into the details of everything you need to do. One part was in the method of making affirmations. Simply repeating words does not work - adding emotion is the key but and here is the big but - you need to monitor your emotions carefully. What you think and feel you vibrate, what you vibrate is what you attract, so the effect of an affirmation can be positive but it can also be negative. If, for example, you affirm that you are incredibly wealthy while all around you the debts are piling up, it is extremely difficult to find that emotional pitch where your vibration matches up to manifest a whole set of different circumstances for you. You need to believe whatever it is that you are affirming and it needs to feel possible and something that can become a reality.

We are cemented in our own realities and perceptions - to move out from these realities and perceptions may be a process of incremental steps. Your affirmation needs to be something that your little inner voice will say - well, yes that can happen, I can believe that will happen. Each step that manifests will in turn bolster the process of affirmation and lead you further along the line of your dreams. Stretching too far will make your little inner voice rebel and say well, that just is not real, how can that come true? And even worse will really scupper any further affirmations that you make by sowing the seeds of doubt. Be sensitive to your inner feelings and affirm wisely. Ensure that you feel comfortable with the affirmation.

Ensure that your affirmation does not include any negatives and ensure your affirmation is grounded in the present not the future (the future will never arrive). Here are a few examples of the incremental affirmations to make at the beginning of your attraction system compared to affirmations that may jolt your inner voice into rebellion: * I am in the process of becoming thinner - I have a thin beautiful body (imagine someone affirming this and then immediately afterwards looking in the mirror to see something entirely different). * I have lost two pounds this week. - I lose twenty pounds in two weeks (which one will fill you with positive do-ability and which one will cause doubt?) * I am eating healthy food I love to eat. - I never eat fries and cake again ( the negative prompts the elephant principle I'm sure you've heard of - don't think of a large white elephant; now what are you thinking about? Take care with your emotional reactions to your affirmations and nurture the seeds towards progress in all aspects of your life. Doing things the wrong way can be frustrating when a few tweaks can transform everything.
