Finding balance with mind, body and spirit is the way to eliminate stress from your life and feel calm and at ease about your circumstances.
There are many ways to achieve this balance. There are simple tricks which will make a significant impact, or there are life-changing choices that you can make to improve the quality of your life. Since old habits are sometimes difficult to break, it may be easier to begin with small changes and find easy ways to integrate these new habits into your life.Meditation
The concept of meditation has been around for centuries. While it is not difficult to meditate, it does take some practice to get comfortable with the results. Studies have proven that taking several minutes a day to calm your mind and release your thoughts gives you more focus, less stress and an overall more peaceful feeling. You'll find this to be true in your own life. Meditation does not have to involve candles, incense-filled rooms or anything else exterior. You can achieve moments of meditation while sitting in traffic, doing chores or enjoying your favorite hobby. Anywhere or anytime that you can quiet your mind and practice releasing your thoughts, you will have achieved a form of meditation which is healthy for your mind, body and spirit.
Have Some Fun
Fun is essential to our livelihood as human beings. Too much focus on things we don't enjoy can push fun out of the picture and leave us with a mundane or resentful existence. You must take time every day to have some fun. Your mind, body and spirit actually rely on the chemicals produced by your brain when you are feeling joy and laughter. You cannot use the excuse that you do not have enough time. The opposite is actually true. Fun must be a priority in life for the rejuvenation of mind, body and spirit. Having good times will lessen the stress of events that may not be so pleasant and provide a phenomenon that seems to create more time in your life.
Live, Love, Laugh In order to live, love and laugh effectively, you must surround yourself with people who make a point to do those things well. Emotional vampires tend to use up the positive energy of those around them, therefore bringing everyone to a lower place of feeling. First notice how much time you spend complaining or feeling low. If you realize it's a majority of the time, you must react to change this phenomenon. Likewise, if the people close to your life commonly engage in this sort of behavior, you must choose how much time you spend with them and make sure to add livelier company to your days.
Choices The feelings we allow into our lives are all there by choice. We may choose to blame exterior circumstances for our feelings, but at any given moment we each have a choice whether to feel a negative emotion or a positive one. Body, mind and spirit refers to physical health, emotional well-being and spiritual growth. All three of these can be uplifted, cherished and enhanced with proper choices. Awareness of current choices is the key which unlocks a bonanza of opportunities to choose a better thought for every circumstance we encounter. Begin today with a laugh, an expression of joy, some fun and a few moments to clear out difficult energy. Very soon you will notice what a big difference these small changes can make.
